With the sales success of the CB750, it was obvious that Honda would follow up with a smaller version. The turbine smooth CB500 was a perfect machine for a great number of consumers, being lighter and more maneuverable than its big brother, and less intimidating. Engine size was increased to 550cc on later models.

I owned a '73 CB500 Four. Smoothest engine on any motorcycle that I ver rode. Ran over 100K on the original engine and traveled all over US and Canada. Great middle weight touring bike.

I'm in the process of restoring a Goldwing and I've been running into issues with my charging system. I'm going to be replacing the Honda rotor as well as a few other component. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will do the trick.
